Thursday - September 15th,  Chickamauga Battlefield and National Cemetery: 
    Thursday morning we boarded buses for a short trip to the Chickamauga Battlefield.  The Chattanooga area has a lot of Civil War History surrounding it and the guided tour of one of the battlefields was terrific!  We also visited the museum and saw a lot of large and small weapons used during that time from both the North and the South, maps of battles and pictures of their leadership.  After the tour we returned to the hotel for some really good box lunches from Jimmy Johns and a little relaxation.  After lunch we boarded buses for a short trip to the National Cemetery where Chaplin Rucker performed the annual Honor Ceremony in remembrance of those shipmates that had passed on since our last reunion.
