Thursday - September 19th, Murder Mystery Theater
Thursday evening, we walked across the street to the Mobile Carnival Museum.  We enjoyed dinner along with the Improv Murder Mystery Theatre players.  The players interacted with our group while putting on “Next of Kin.”  George Kaiser won a bottle of wine for correctly guessing Big Daddy Sugarbaker and his nurse as the murderers.  Afterwards, we toured the museum.  The first Mardi Gras celebrations in North America were held in Mobile, Alabama.  On display in the museum were elegant gowns and costumes worn by Mobile’s Mardi Gras kings and queens.  What a beautiful display of pageantry!  We had a fantastic time!

Friday – September 20th, Pensacola Naval Air Station Museum & Memorial Service
Friday morning we boarded buses for a tour of the Pensacola Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida. The museum is the world’s largest Naval Aviation Museum covering 37 acres of ground.  In the museum’s 350,000 square feet of exhibit space were more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation.  The world-famous Blue Angels are based at the Naval Air Station.
Lunch was in the NAS Cubi Bar Café, duplicated from the famous Cubi Point Officers’ Club in the Republic of the Philippines.  The memorial service was held by Chaplain Rucker in the Chapel on base grounds.
